The border was supposed to be Donald Trump's problem, but President Biden went there and outdid him.
What did Biden say on the border?
Biden said:
The bill was nearing passage in the U.S. Senate when it was derailed by partisan politics. The U.S. Senate should reconsider this bill, and senators who oppose it should set aside politics and pass this bill on its merits, not on whether it will benefit one party or the other. It's about whether it benefits the American people. What we deserve. The Speaker of the House must introduce this bill. Because if we let this bill go forward indefinitely, the majority of Democrats and Republicans in both houses of Congress will support this bill until someone steps up and says, 'Don't do that.' . It will benefit the incumbent. What a great way to do business in America on such serious issues. We must act.
Now is the time to show the Speaker and some of his Republican friends in Congress who are blocking this bill by passing a bipartisan border bill. Remember the payoff.
Leaders supported this border security bill.
Let us remember who we are working for, for God. We work for the American people. I'll end with this. I understand my predecessor at Eagle Pass today. So what I want to say to President Trump is that instead of doing his policy this year, instead of telling members of Congress to block this bill, join me or join me in telling Congress to pass this bipartisan border security bill. We can do this together. And I know that this is the toughest, most efficient, most effective border security bill this country has ever seen. So instead of playing politics with the issue, why should we just get together and get the job done if we don't remember who the hell we're working for? We work for the American people.

Biden beat Trump on his own issues.
While Trump lied and screamed that migrants in Eagle Pass were trying to kill us all, President Biden delivered the message that most voters wanted to hear. Biden argued that Democrats and Republicans must work together to get the job done.
President Biden went to the border and beat Trump on his own issues by claiming the two parties can fix the border, but Donald Trump is standing in the way.
The core issue of the Trump campaign became Biden's moment of success.
