Social media, already buzzing with the Super Bowl on and off the field (including star-studded stands, halftime shows and commercials), got even more excited.
Within minutes, Beyoncé's account was official.
The star posted a one-minute video to Instagram showing a taxi with Texas vanity plates (“HOLD-EM”) driving down a dusty road, passing a radio tower and a “Radio Texas” sign.
A crowd gathers in front of her billboard waving next to the words “Texas! Hold 'em” and a song containing those words begins to play. The video ends with “act ii” and the date March 29th.
Her official website advertises the same video, date, and two song titles: “Texas Hold 'Em” and “16 Carriages.” Shortly thereafter, 30-second snippets of both songs were posted on Tidal. Then the full version was released on Spotify and YouTube.
The attached image shows Beyoncé wearing a cowboy hat and other decidedly Western-style clothing.
In particular, Beyoncé advertised her 2022 album. Renaissance With “act i”.
The album won the 2023 Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album, a record-breaking number 32 for the Houston-born icon.
