The presidential election is about eight months away.
And Joe Biden is hearing more and more bad news every day.

Battleground states are critical to each candidate, and Trump is winning.
Trump is leading Biden in most battleground states that are important for both Biden and Donald Trump, the presumptive nominees of each party.
This is not good news for Democrats.
Yahoo News reported, “A new poll shows Donald Trump will beat Joe Biden in four key battleground states.”
Yahoo pointed out, “In Georgia, among registered voters, the former president is ahead by 4 percentage points with 51% and the successor at 47%.” “Mr. Biden won the state by just 0.23% in 2020, making him the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the state since Bill Clinton in 1992.”
“The president lags by 3 percentage points among Georgians who say they definitely plan to vote,” the report said. “Mr. Trump has increased his support among young voters in the state since 2020 and has made progress among Black voters, even though Mr. Biden still holds a wide lead among African Americans.”
The story continued:
In North Carolina, a Marist poll released Wednesday showed President Trump ahead of President Biden by 3 points, 51% to 48%.
Among independent voters registered to vote in the state, President Trump leads by 6 percentage points, 52% to 46%.
Meanwhile, Emerson College, KLAS-TV and Hill A Nevada poll released Wednesday also showed President Trump's approval rating rising 44 to 41 percent. 15% are undecided…

Can Biden catch up with Trump?
Biden's age doesn't help him. The same goes for inflation. The same goes for his foreign policy toward Ukraine and Gaza. To mention a few handicaps:
A lot can happen in eight months, perhaps even changing Trump's numbers in states that could easily turn red or blue.
But for the foreseeable future, Donald Trump will rule them. Joe Biden needs to catch up. However, it is very difficult to see at the moment how he will get on the path to victory.
