Designer Duncan Kerr, who has been part of Apple's journey since the late 1990s, has now departed, marking yet another loss to the design team in a relatively short space of time.
Last February, Apple lost designer Bart Andre, who had been with the company since 1992. He was Apple's longest-serving industrial designer.
On Wednesday, news broke that Kerr would be leaving, but his plans are currently unknown. Kerr has worked at Apple since 1999, and he has been deeply involved in the development of multiple generations of iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

According to reports, recent changes in Apple management are causing growing anxiety among employees. Jeff Williams is said to have introduced cost-cutting measures as head of the design team, raising concerns. There have also been rumors that Apple has scaled back the navigation project, which was a hallmark of former design chief Jony Ive.
However, some of these designers have been with Apple for over 25 years. The recent departure is more likely to be about retirement than dissatisfaction, given the ages of those involved.
For others, it may be greener pastures. Some of the core team left to work at Ive's new design company, LoveFrom.
Today, only a small number of Ive's original team remain at Apple. These include Richard Howarth, Ben Schaffer and Molly Anderson.
