Apple Hongdae welcomes its first customers in Korea on Saturday, January 20th
The 7th store in Korea welcomes the community with a special Today at Apple session with hip-hop artist Benzino.
Korea, Seoul Apple today introduced Apple Hongdae, its seventh retail store in South Korea and 100th Apple Store location in Asia Pacific. Located in the heart of Seoul's bustling university district, Apple Hongdae will provide an exciting space for students, families and the community to discover and shop Apple's incredible lineup of products and services, while receiving exceptional support from our highly knowledgeable team members. Apple Hongdae has approximately 100 professional retail team members helping customers explore and access the latest Apple products, including the latest iPhone 15 lineup. Ahead of back-to-school, students and families can save on a Mac or iPad with Apple Education pricing, available exclusively through Apple Retail. Additionally, eligible customers can take advantage of the college student discount available through March 13 and receive AirPods with a qualifying Mac purchase or an Apple Pencil with an iPad purchase.
Apple Hongdae will be an exciting hub for the next generation of creators to learn how to get the most out of their devices and unlock their potential through Today at Apple. To create learning spaces and a more personalized customer experience, stores offer roundtables where attendees can learn how to get started with a new device, learn about the features of the latest Apple products, or participate in sessions focused on a variety of topics. subject.
From January to March, Apple is hosting a series of free Today at Apple sessions where students can try out Macs and iPads and learn new technologies that will help them enhance their creativity and improve their learning skills. As part of the Bring on College with Apple series, students can register for four workshops led by Apple Creatives. This workshop is offered at Apple Hongdae and all Apple Stores across Korea.

Starting January 20th, each day at 5pm, customers can also participate in the new Today at Apple Pop-Up Studio featuring iconic hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Benzino. Freeform Explore sessions on iPad allow customers to use Freeform to gather ideas, artwork, photos, and more for their own 2024 vision board. The session also provides a glimpse into the inspiration for the artist's single “Train,” newly released via Spatial Audio and available only on Apple Music. This session will be held exclusively at Apple Hongdae and will last for one month. This session will be held at all stores in Korea, Japan, and Australia starting February 12th as part of the Bring on College with Apple campaign.
As part of Apple's environmental commitment, Apple Hongdae was designed using plant-based materials, bio-terrazzo flooring and acoustic fabric wall and ceiling panels. Like all Apple facilities, this facility runs on 100% renewable energy and is carbon neutral. Apple Hongdae features a dedicated Apple pickup station, making it easy for customers to pick up their online purchases at a time convenient to them.
Apple opened its first store, Apple Garosu-gil, in Korea in 2018. Since then, Apple has expanded its domestic presence by opening stores in Yeouido, Myeongdong, Jamsil, Gangnam, and Hanam. Apple also launched the Apple Developer Academy, which already has its second batch of graduates, and the Apple Manufacturing R&D Accelerator, providing free tools and training programs to small and medium-sized businesses across the country.
