Amelia Dimoldenberg, a buzzy internet personality who hosts a series of celebrity interviews. Chicken restaurant datehas been drafted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to serve as the face of the 2024 Oscars social media campaign. In this role, she will serve as a social media ambassador and red carpet correspondent for high-profile Oscar events leading up to the 96th Academy Awards and throughout the remainder of awards season.
At the Oscar Nominees Luncheon on February 12, Dimoldenberg will participate in the production of an Academy video featuring this year's nominees. She will also capture the “Oscars 96 Behind the Scenes Tour” and interview nominees and performers on the Oscars red carpet on March 10.
In connection with the news, the Academy's digital magazine, A.Framee broke down an exclusive interview with Dimoldenberg today, in which she says she's so excited about her new gig. “What better place to interview a Hollywood star than the Oscars? For me, this is truly a dream come true and a dream scenario. I'm also really excited to do something original and put my own stamp on the Oscars, create some really amazing moments and give some amazing interviews. Groundbreaking pop culture journalism is coming,” she suggested with a laugh. “I hope so anyway. But I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself, and I also want to do a really, really good job.”
She also picked out a few candidates she would like to meet. “I would be really happy to interview Martin Scorsese. “Her daughter looks so fun watching TikTok with her,” she explained. “I have so many people on my list I want to meet. Cillian Murphy will be interviewed, and Emma Stone will be great too! Oh my god, I would love to interview Emma Stone. I just saw it poor things, and she's great at that. And again, she looks like she’s having a really good time.”
Dimoldenberg produces and hosts YouTube series. Chicken restaurant date, where she interviews celebrities at fast food restaurants. Her videos have garnered 2.2 million subscribers, 416 million views, and 19.5 million hours of content watched. She faced the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Jack Harlow, Phoebe Bridgers, Daniel Kaluuya, Andrew Garfield, and Rosalia. In a recent interview The Hollywood ReporterDimoldenberg achieved great success in the United States and opened up his aspirations for entertainment, including writing and performing.
“Two years ago I toured LA looking for an American agent. I said everything I wanted to say to everyone out there, and one of the main things I said was that I wanted to do a red carpet interview. I think that’s my skill and I felt it would be a great way to get my name out there in the US and beyond,” said the London native. “My dream is to be able to ground myself a little more. I'm trying to make it a reality. “Isn’t it your dream to dive into American pop culture?” Her Oscar performance brought her one step closer.
