AMC Theaters will release three new Nicole Kidman-led commercials in theaters starting in March. Diversity Has confirmed.
On March 1, a new 30-second version of the “We Make Movies Better” commercial will make its theatrical debut at AMC locations nationwide. AMC Theaters will then rotate in the coming months two different versions of the original pre-show commercials that were not originally seen in theaters.

With cutting-edge technology, luxurious amenities and an unwavering commitment to excellence, AMC Theaters are the premier destination for moviegoers seeking an unparalleled cinematic experience. AMC Theaters has launched its “We Make Movies Better” advertising campaign for fall 2021, featuring Oscar winner Kidman. The ad is famous for the line, “Anyway, heartbreak feels good in places like this.”
To celebrate the campaign's one-year anniversary, Oscar-nominated screenwriter Billy Ray said: Diversity In 2022, we'll be talking about creating the iconic AMC commercial.
“I tried to think, ‘What is it that I value so much about the experience of watching a movie?’ and 'Why is it so important for people to hear stories from 1,000 strangers?' And what occurred to me is that there is a cathartic experience that movies offer us.” Ray said about the iconic “heartbreak” line: “We see our characters go through hell and we cry about it. There's something very cleansing about it because it doesn't feel good. But that's not how they feel. They are walking through their feelings about us. They are walking a desolate path for us.
