The new San Juan-based service will add another option for travelers to the islands of St Croix and St Maarten.
Starting in June, Frontier Airlines will begin new flights between San Juan and St Croix and St Maarten in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
San Juan-St. Croix flights will operate three times a week and begin service on June 2. Is it better? Rates start at $19.
The San Juan-St Maarten office opens on June 3, with twice-weekly flights.
Both routes add connectivity between two popular hotspots in the Caribbean, but they have a more significant effect. This means it connects St Croix and St Maarten to a large network of flights from the US mainland to San Juan.
Of course, this includes Frontier's huge number of flights from the continental United States to San Juan, serving 16 cities in the continental United States, from Miami to Cleveland, Dallas and Baltimore-Washington.
This is especially important for St Croix, where travel demand has been surging since the pandemic.
Are you planning a holiday to St Maarten or St Croix?
St Croix has become one of the culinary capitals of the Caribbean in recent years, with top chefs and new restaurants opening. Additionally, one of the area's most popular adults-only hotels, The Fred, is located in the increasingly trendy city of Frederiksted.
St Maarten is actually two destinations, with a fun-loving Dutch side and a foodie-friendly French side, with the French side home to some great boutique hotels and beach resorts like the Grand Case Beach Club.
