problem solving
Setting up and using live streaming via YouTube on the DJI RC 2 is fairly simple, but there are a few things that streamers might be curious about.
Error messages and choppy streaming
When live streaming using the DJI RC 2 (not the RC-N2 and smartphone combination), there have been many reports of RC 2 live streaming suffering from extreme lag and dropped frames.
Additionally, when this issue occurs, you receive the following message: “Error encoders transmit data faster than real time. Live video uploads should be limited to approximately 1 second per second.”
The current workaround, as explained by a DJI support representative, is to connect a USB-C microphone to the DJI RC 2's USB-C slot on the bottom of the controller. Many people find the DJI Mic and DJI Mic 2 easy to attach to the DJI RC 2 and operate smoothly.
For those like me who use one of the Rode Go's various lines of microphones, a simple male-to-male USB-C adapter to connect the Rode receiver to the DJI RC 2 will also work.

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
Currently, DJI RC 2 does not support streaming to Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok.
DJI Live Streaming currently only works with the RTMP protocol utilized by YouTube. Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok use the RTMPS streaming protocol, which is more resistant and secure against hackers. Yes, the S in RTMPS stands for “secure.”
DJI has not yet announced whether there will be any updates to the streaming protocols that the Air 3 can use for live streaming. Currently, YouTube streaming is the only native option using the DJI RC 2.
