Simone Biles Ready to prove yourself.
“This is definitely our redemption journey. I think we all have more to give,” Biles, 27, told reporters late Sunday, June 30, after the U.S. women’s gymnastics team roster for the 2024 Olympics in Paris was announced.
Biles is one of five women heading to Paris later this month. She has the following people to join her: Sunny Lee, jade kerry and jordan chiles — who was part of the 2020 team — and is also a rookie. Hazley Rivera.
During the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Biles withdrew from various events, citing her mental health and “staggering” after she became disoriented mid-air during competition.
“I know we are stronger than we showed in Tokyo, so I think it should be for us because it’s not for anyone else. That’s not why we’re doing it,” Biles said. “We’re doing it for ourselves, and we’re going to go out there and do our best with our love of the sport and our love of representing the United States.”

Biles added that she is unfazed by critics who have called her a “dodger” among other things amid her health struggles at the 2020 Olympics.
“They’re still going to say, ‘Oh my goodness, are you going to quit again, are you going to quit again?’ And if I did, what would you do about it? Should I tweet some more?” she said. people. “For example, I have been dealing with that problem for three years already. But they want to see us fail.”
“They want to see the rise to success, and then when you get it and run with it and start reigning for a really long time, they want to see the fall,” she continued.[It] It's a real shame because in sports we've never seen athletes like we've seen before. Biles also revealed that her husband is a Chicago Bears safety. Jonathan OwensI will be cheering her on in Paris after receiving special permission to attend some of her events.
