While the media is obsessed with Biden's age, more data is coming out about how poor Donald Trump's debate performance was.
Biden-Harris pollster Molly Murphy told MSNBC's Jen Psaki:
To explain a little bit about this to our viewers, here's a swing voter. They were in the Midwest and sat in a room watching the debate. Each person is given a literal dial. You can increase it up to 100. If you like what you're hearing, if you don't like what you're hearing, turn it down to zero. And the biggest takeaway is that every time Donald Trump opens his mouth, the dial drops, and it just falls off.
…
So they're looking at this because they're trying to decide if this is a choice between two candidates. We are watching them choose. And when they saw Donald Trump and heard about Donald Trump, that dial went off. The dial dropped, especially when he talked about January 6th and Roe. Roe didn't get much follow-up after the game. But he was proud of overturning Roe in that debate, and voters took notice. And he refused three times to accept the election results if he didn't like them.
It was his absolute rock bottom moment and the President gave him a really good punch. Some of the most independent statements that viewers of People on Our Dial responded to were the only felons sitting across from me in the room. That was one of the most striking lines of the night's debate. The morals of the alley cat people are really, you know, capturing and
It popped out. And every time the president reminds voters how false and unreliable Donald Trump is. It served as a reminder of the contrast we are creating in this competition.

It’s not just Biden pollsters who find Trump underperforming with voters. A recent CBS poll centered on Biden actually includes bad numbers on Trump’s debate performance.
Focus groups of swing voters who watched the debate were highly repulsed by Trump.
If Biden gets back on track and changes his tactics to prove to voters that he has the energy and ability to get the job done, he will be in a position to win.
Biden's problems can be fixed. Donald Trump can't fix the fact that his biggest problem is Donald Trump.
