President Biden's family has urged him to remain in the race, and the president himself wants to campaign hard against Trump.
The New York Times reported:
President Biden’s family is urging him to stay in the race and keep fighting despite his dismal performance in last week’s debate. Some in his own family have even expressed private anger at how his staff, people, and others prepared for the event, which was close to what was said Sunday.
…
One of Mr. Biden's phone contacts said the president was eager to continue campaigning to draw a contrast with Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump is a convicted criminal who tried to overturn his last election and made numerous false statements during the debate.
What's happening here seems to be that the self-destructive Democrats who have cost their party elections for years through panic, fear, and poor decision-making are trying to take control of the party again and drive it off the cliff.
That said, the debate was a huge mistake, and some changes are needed. There may be some personnel changes and changes in campaign strategy. President Biden wants to campaign more, and he is campaigning better than Donald Trump.
Biden needs to hold press conferences and interviews.
The president could be campaigning ahead of Donald Trump, who is currently campaigning one day a week. Polls show the debate has had no effect on changing the election. The primary is still a tough one. Biden could win if he makes some changes and gains ground.
What is clear is that Biden will not allow himself to be pushed out or forced out of the Democratic nomination.
