Gigi Hadid gave her close friend Taylor Swift a custom ring thanking Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.
London-based jeweler Cece Jewelery shared a post on Instagram on June 24 revealing the special ring Hadid ordered for the 'Anti Hero' singer. The custom-made gold ring features special references to Swift's life, including her music, boyfriend, Kelce, and cats. hourShe was named the publication's “Person of the Year.”
“It was such an honor to be able to create something special for Taylor Swift!!!!!!!” The caption of Cece Jewellery's post reads: “Gifted to her by her best friend, this piece features her famous cat, Benjamin Button, and is surrounded by a lustrous pearl border with flaming hearts on either side. On one side she has number 13, her favorite jersey number, and on the other side she has Travis Kelce’s number 87.”
The company explained how the jewelry was created to be meaningful to Swift, with the numbers 13 and 87 engraved inside each heart of the ring.
“This ring was designed to keep her favorite things close at hand. It was truly amazing to see her shine on her London stage and we can’t wait to see her wearing it soon,” her jeweler added.
In addition to the white pearl on the front of the ring, there is a special engraving on the inside of the ring, 'TTPD', symbolizing the name of Swift's latest album. Tortured Poets Department.
Hadid also expressed her gratitude for the ring, writing, “It's perfect…thank you.”
The price of Swift's new ring is not specified, but Cece Jewelery often sells rings and necklaces for a hefty price, with each piece ranging from $2,000 to nearly $9,000. For example, a Heartbreaker ring with a flaming heart and a sword running through it retails for $8,862.
The supermodel's gift for Swift came after the singer performed three performances at London's Wembley Stadium. Many stars attended. The performative transition into the song features some fun moments from the couple, including Kelce's hilarious use of a fan and makeup brush as Swift changes outfits. One of her backup dancers pushed Swift to the front of her stage, and Kelce smiled and waved at her hand as she walked away.
The next day, the 'Fortnight' singer posted about the moment on Instagram, sending a loving shout-out in the caption. “I’m still thrilled to see @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut,” she wrote. “I will never forget this show.”
The rotating photos began with Kelce performing with her, while later photos showed him carrying her bridal style to center stage. Swift concluded her post with a video of her boyfriend performing, captured from the crowd.
Kelce's Eras tour debut comes just one day after Swift made it Instagram official with a selfie of the two that included Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte.
