The White Horse Federation has appointed Dr Dan Nicholls as its new CEO.
Nicholls, who is currently deputy chief executive of the Cabot Learning Federation, will lead the 31-school trust on September 1.
Nichols said in a statement that he was “honored and honored” to take on the role.
He added: “This is an important and exciting time for the trust and I look forward to taking it to the next level.”
Nicholls' resume includes a position as headteacher at CLF Secondary School and three years as headteacher at Bristol Brunel Academy.
Before that, he worked as headteacher at Devizes School, part of the White Horse League.
He said he had “benefited enormously” from his time at CLF and was now looking forward to “establishing the White Horse Federation as a leading trust in our sector”.
The trust has schools in Swindon, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Federation board chair Ninna Gibson said Nicholls “brings a wealth of leadership experience and a particularly impressive track record in the South West”.
She thanked outgoing interim chief executive Simon Cowley for “leading with a calm and reassuring authority”.
