BRAINTREE, MA (TCD) — A 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of stabbing multiple people at a McDonald's and a movie theater last week is now believed to be connected to a Connecticut murder case.
According to the Braintree Police Department: At approximately 6 p.m. on May 25, a male suspect passed the AMC Braintree 10 box office and entered the theater. While inside, he stabbed four girls aged between nine and 17 in “unprovoked” attacks. The suspect then fled in a black SUV. Paramedics and police arrived at the scene and the girls were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Plymouth County District Attorney's Office identified the suspect Like Jared Ravizza.
After examining surveillance video, detectives determined Ravizza was no longer in the city, but they tracked his license plate number.
About an hour after the stabbing at the movie theater, another incident occurred at a McDonald's drive-thru at a rest stop in Plymouth. The District Attorney's Office said police began receiving calls from the fast food chain around 7 p.m. reporting that two employees had been stabbed.
Surveillance video reportedly shows Ravizza driving up to the drive-thru window in a black Porsche Macan and stabbing a 28-year-old man with a “large knife.”
Ravicha parked the car, went inside and stabbed the 21-year-old woman before driving away. Both victims were transported to local hospitals.
A witness shared Ravizza's license plate information with Massachusetts State Police, who discovered a Be on the Lookout (BOLO) alert for his arrest. It is reported that the Porsche SUV in question is registered to Ravizza.
Massachusetts State Police captured. Ravizza's tea in Sandwich. They attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but he did not comply. Afterwards, Mr. A was involved in a car accident and was taken to the hospital.
Ravizza was indicted He was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, ranging from armed assault to murder, and one count of indecent exposure. The district attorney's office said Ravizza will undergo a competency evaluation at a state hospital.
At 3:36 a.m. that morning, Connecticut State Police responded to a home on Merriwold Lane in Deep River and learned the suspect had thrown a shovel through the home's front window and then left. Witnesses told police they recognized the suspect as a man who had been staying on a nearby street. Connecticut State Police also learned of an “audible disturbance” coming from the suspect’s residence.
Officers went to the suspect's address and found 70-year-old Brad Feldman outside with “visible injuries.” He was confirmed dead at the scene.
According to Connecticut State Police, Ravicha's personal belongings were located in the same home where Feldman was found dead. Witnesses reportedly gave descriptions that matched Ravizza's.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending in Connecticut.
