also: I tested a new model of my favorite 2-in-1 robot vacuum and it's better in almost every way.
At first I wasn't really interested in trying out another robot mop vacuum (I recently tested something similar), but seeing the Eufy X9 Pro in action on my own floor changed my mind.

CleanerBot lives up to its name and outperforms the existing Roborock and Yeedi MopStation Pro in vacuuming and mopping functions. The suction power of 5,500pa at maximum capacity is outstanding. And the main brush has no bristles and is instead made of silicone wedges, making it effective for cleaning floors as well.
From my limited experience (since I've only been testing this model for about a week), using the stock silicone brush makes the X9 Pro less prone to tangling. This is because it is easier to scoop out debris than to sweep it up.
The Eufy X9 Pro CleanerBot's mopping feature is one of the two features that impressed me the most. The X9 Pro has two rotating mop pads (my favorite thing in a robot vacuum/mop combo). This pad applies 2.2 pounds of downward pressure to break down tough stains, an especially useful feature in homes with children and pets.
examine: Roborock S8 Pro Ultra: This 2-in-1 vacuum cleaner can do almost any job.
Another great feature that I like the most is the use of AI for navigation, obstacle avoidance, and mapping. CleanerBot has a time-of-flight sensor and an AI camera system called AI See that helps it detect and avoid objects so the vacuum doesn't suck up your kids' socks or stuffed animals.
It also uses iPath Laser Navigation to create a map of your home. This map, in the Eufy Clean app, divides rooms by color and even shows the obstacles the robot finds in each room. If you look at the map after cleaning, you will see that power cords, shoes, trash cans, etc. are marked on the map.
Eufy isn't the first to use this technology for obstacle avoidance and mapping, but it's a great feature. I hate having to pick up every last bit of paper my kids drop before I can start cleaning. But your robot vacuum cleaner is just going to get caught somewhere on the power cord anyway.
Also: This robot vacuum has a great self-cleaning feature that I didn't know I needed.
The Eufy Clean app lets you customize settings for charging, cleaning intensity, voice, and more. You can also choose from rooms the robot automatically creates on the map and send the robot to clean just that area, such as a mudroom entrance. If a spill occurs, you can choose to clean an area as small as 1.6 feet by 1.6 feet on the map.
In addition to the AI See camera set, the CleanerBot has sensors that let the X9 Pro run in vacuum and mopping modes and detect floor type if it comes into contact with carpets or rugs. When the robot detects a rug or carpet, it lifts the mop pad to keep it off the mat and vacuums only soft surfaces.

Another thing I was happy to see was that the X9 dutifully returned to the station to clean the mop pad rather than waiting for cleaning to be overdue. I don't like to see my robot mop dragging around a dry, dirty mop pad minutes after it should have come back for a fresh cleaning, but I don't think this is a problem with the X9.
Buying advice from ZDNET
that much Eufy Clean X9 Pro CleanerBot Priced at $900, it's the perfect option for anyone looking for a robot vacuum and mop combination in a home with a lot of hard floors, whether tile or hardwood, or carpet or a mix of rugs.
There is no self-emptying bin, and the bin itself is very small so you have to empty it every time you clean it. Still, the mopping function and suction power are impressive. Especially since mops can pick up stains and dust. Yeedi MopStation Pro Left behind.
