Pete Buttigieg devastated Trump for putting America last on electric vehicles.

Buttigieg said on CBS' Face The Nation:
The most important thing is that the revolution will happen with or without us. And we have to make sure that it's an American initiative and that the president is focused on that. Under the Trump administration, China has been allowed to dominate the electric vehicle industry. But under President Biden's leadership, we are confident that the revolution will be Made in America. EV revolution
We are talking.
President Biden also said we will invest in American capabilities, shoring materials or shoring or friend sourcing the processing that goes into these EVs so that the United States can master those processes. Because look, there's no way we're going to get to mid-century with the technology we believed in 100 years ago. There are clearly many voices in Washington right now who are interested in maintaining the status quo. He said it would be one of the first things Americans would be happy to see stuck with dirty, expensive fuel. But the reality is, and I know he made a lot of promises to oil and gas companies.

The bigger point Buttigieg was making is that Trump is setting the country back. Donald Trump is not about progress or progress. Donald Trump is talking about America losing. Trump wants to make America lose to China. Trump will put America behind China. Trump will take away good American jobs and raise taxes on the poor and middle class through his tariff plan.
Buttigieg argued that Donald Trump is not the future. The former president is a return to the past, and his return to the White House will not be good for America's future.
