3. Watch the sunrise and sunset at Delicate Arch →
Delicate Arch is the most famous arch in the park and arguably in the world. Depending on how you look at it, sunsets can be either the best or worst part of your day.
Sunset provides the best light at the Arch but is also the busiest time. We decided to avoid the crowds and try our luck at sunrise.
The three-mile hike can be tricky to navigate in the dark with a lot of parts where it's easy to get lost, but we were able to get to the arch before sunrise and enjoyed the arch in peace with two other people.
Even when crowded, the iconic arch is still worth a visit. However, the rest of the park has many amazing rock formations without the crowds, including arches, fins, balanced rock formations, and more.
Photography Tips: Go at sunrise to get the best light before the sun rises over the horizon. You will then receive mixed lighting from the tall rock to the left of the arch.
