Disney Premier Welcome Benefits
With Disney Premier, you'll receive a $300 statement credit after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
This is a decent return for a spending requirement of just $1,000. This offer is only available if you don't have a Disney Premiere and haven't received a welcome bonus on your card in the last 24 months.
Disney Premier Benefits
The Disney Premier Card offers affordable benefits to Disney loyalists, including the fun option of choosing from 10 different card designs.
First, subscribers can get up to $14.99 back per month for up to three consecutive months as a statement credit toward a qualifying Disney Bundle Trio subscription or any other eligible subscription or add-on purchased on Disneyplus.com, Hulu.com or directly from Plus. That's a total of $14.99 or more at espn.com.” That means you can get up to about $45 back on your Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+ subscription.

Like many other Chase products, Disney Premier comes with a free year of DashPass. This is a membership to both DoorDash and Caviar that provides unlimited shipping with a $0 shipping fee and lower service fee on eligible orders. -Disney fan. But you can get this benefit with other Chase cards, too.
The best part is that DisneyStore.com offers a 10% discount on select credit card purchases. You can also receive a 10% discount on select purchases at select locations at Disneyland, Disney World, and on Disney cruises. The same discounts are available at select restaurants in Disneyland and Disney World.
The card then gives you 15% off non-discounted prices on select guided tours at Disneyland and Disney World, plus the option to take special photos at card member-only locations. All of these benefits come in handy when you're spending a lot of money. At Disney. But not really outside of it.
Cardholders also receive 20% off the first year of their annual Marvel Unlimited subscription, which includes digital access to over 30,000 amazing comics.
Lastly, Disney Premier offers useful protection features like baggage delay insurance, credit card purchase protection, and extended warranty protection.
Get Rewards at Disney Premieres
Disney Premier allows you to earn 5% back on card purchases directly at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com or ESPNPlus.com. Get 2% back on card purchases at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants and most U.S. Disney stores and 1% back on everything else.
Your rewards will come in the form of Disney Rewards Dollars (see details below).
Unless you regularly spend a lot at Disney stores, these return rates don't matter. A 5% return on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ is nice, but it's unlikely to offer much value outside of regular subscriptions to those services.
Redeem Rewards at Disney Premiere
Instead of cash back, this card earns Disney Rewards Dollars, which greatly limits your redemption options and makes the card only available to Disney enthusiasts.
Per the card's landing page, Disney Rewards Dollars can be used for “most Disney at most Disney locations in the U.S., including Disney shopping, movies, theme park tickets, resort stays, dining, and more.”
If you just want travel rewards like TPG editor Emily Thompson, you can also use Disney Rewards Dollars as a statement credit for air travel. Purchase airline tickets with your card and exchange it for statement credit.
Per the card landing page, these repayments must be made to the card within 60 days of the repayment request date. Redemption starts at 50 Disney Rewards Dollars, provides a $50 airline statement credit, and continues up to $1 at 1 Disney Rewards Dollar thereafter.
What cards compete with Disney Premieres?
If you're spending at Disney, Premier is a good choice. But there are several alternatives you can choose from.

Despite the affordable $49 annual fee, Disney Premiere doesn't mean much to you unless you frequent the parks and don't spend a lot while visiting Disney parks.
A regular travel card is much better. For this reason, non-Disney enthusiasts might be better off choosing one of the alternatives listed above.
