Sherri Shepherd admitted she was a frivolous host and asked Jennifer Hudson to do the same.
Hudson, 42, gave Shepherd, 57, the go-ahead answer when asked if she would be interested in going on a date with a guest.
“Honey, do you think so? Uh, yes!” Shepard responded with a heartbeat.
“First of all, that’s my first line: When I see someone cute, I walk up to them and say, ‘Come hang out on my couch,’” the single mom continued. , the audience burst into laughter.
“You guys get your ass kicked on my talk show couch,” Shepherd explained. “I say, ‘Come hang out on my couch. I want to talk.’”
And she convinced Hudson to follow in her footsteps.
“You have to do that because I'm watching you. There are people who come on the show and flirt with you,” Shepherd said.
“You have to object, Jennifer. You have to smile. Give them three more seconds.”
The Jennifer Hudson Show host urged that she wouldn't be able to do that, and Shepherd shared a few tips, including giving a hug and complimenting the guest for “smelling so good.”
“You need to lower your voice. That’s sexy Jennifer voice,” Shepherd said.
She shared another great piece of advice.
“Another thing I always say to make a guy feel better is I always look at them and say, ‘Did you see me dancing with the Chippendales dancers?’ They can have a big belly and flat feet and it will make them feel very good. “It will,” she said.
“You just have to find something to compliment them on,” Shepherd added. “If they’re bald, say, ‘Oh, I want to rub that bald head.’”
