Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly eviscerated Joy Reid after the MSNBC host criticized the Moms For Liberty co-founder. She called for books containing explicit sex to be banned from schools.
Kelly Tears 'Idiot' Reed
The Daily Mail reported that Kelly branded Reid an “idiot” for the way he handled his interview with Moms For Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice on Friday.
“I don’t want to know about Joy Reid’s weird sexual preferences or what she thinks is appropriate content for minors, but that’s not what I think it is,” Kelly said. “And if she wants to expose her own child to those things, she can do so right away, on her own time and with her own money.”
Not stopping there, Kelly went on to criticize Reid for asking the judge about his “expertise” in raising questions about his memoir, “All Boys Aren't Blue,” which has been banned in 29 school districts across the country. This “statement memoir” written by George M. Johnson includes a section about the sexual abuse he suffered as a child. It also includes graphic depictions of sex featuring lubricant, dildos, and anal penetration.
“What expertise do you and other Moms for Freedom advocates have? Why should we decide that an award-winning book is not appropriate for students to read?” Reed asked Justice, who responded, “In what context are strap-on dildos allowed in public schools? That's my question to you.”
Of course, Reed refused to answer this question.

Kelly double down
But Kelly was having none of it.
“What expertise do you have to point out that books about strap-on dildos, pedophilia, and familial anal rape do not belong in K-12 libraries and schools?” Kelly asked.
Kelly then pointed out that there is a lot of research showing why books like this one are harmful to children.
“There are a ton of articles and books from academic experts about the harm done to children by being exposed to such content too soon,” she said. “And most good parents are careful to keep our children away from that.”
Kelly added, “If they have a phone, we put a block on it. The last thing we want to think about is when we send them to school, that's when they're most at risk.” “That’s when they’re most exposed to stories about anal rape and dildos.”

'It is absurd to call for a ban'
Kelly said books like “All Boys Aren't Blue” should not be put in schools. “It’s taxpayers’ money when my child is sitting right next to me reading a great book about love, bullying and history. To pretend it’s banned because they can’t read it in the school library is outrageous!”

It's easy to see why so many Americans view Reed as one of the most partisan hacks on television right now. It's also shocking to see how much radical leftists like Reed want children to be exposed to sexually explicit books in school.
We applaud Kelly for having the courage to call out Reed, and we believe her criticism was accurate. What do you think about what she said? Let us know in the comments section.
