A video of a man named Mike Dragich catching an alligator approaching people standing on the side of the road in Jacksonville has gone viral on social media.
Dragich, a qualified alligator hunter, was notified of the 8-foot-long reptile while with his family at a local sporting event.
After receiving the information, he left the game and began searching for the egg-laying reptile without any safety equipment.
In a video of the scene, the 34-year-old man can be seen following a red alligator down the street with his bare hands before eventually jumping on top of it and sitting on it.
The video shows Dragic closing the crocodile's mouth and lifting the reptile in his arms, rendering it helpless.
The mixed martial arts (MMA) athlete said this in an interview with the media. News4JAX: “I went to see a hockey game [in] Come to downtown Jacksonville with your family! “The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported an alligator emergency to the FWC and I was dispatched.”
“With only five minutes left in the game, I literally left the game, caught the alligator, and then came back to play.”
