On February 28, 2024, the government announced the 16th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme to all eligible farmers. Installments worth Rs 21,000 crore have been disbursed to over 9 crore beneficiary farmers across the country. The beneficiary farmers are now looking forward to the 17th installment of the scheme.
When will the beneficiary receive the 17th installment?
The PM Kisan plan is paid in three installments every four months, i.e. April-July, August-November and December-March every year.
As episode 16 was released last February, it is expected that episode 17 will be released sometime in May. The exact publication date of the next issue has not been set.

To check if your name is on the beneficiary list:
Step 1: Go to Prime Minister Kisan’s official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Beneficiary List’ tab on the right side of the page.
Step 3: Select the details like state, district, sub-district, block, village etc. from the dropdown.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Get Report’ tab.
Step 5: The details of the beneficiary list will be displayed.
How to update e-KYC online?
To update eKYC for PM Kisan Scheme online:
Step 1: Go to PM-Kisan official website.
Step 2: Select the eKYC option on the right side of the page.
Step 3: Enter the captcha code and Aadhar card number and click on Search.
Step 4: Enter the phone number associated with your Aadhaar card.
Step 5: Select ‘Receive OTP’ and enter the OTP in the designated space.
There are several reasons for rejecting a Kisan Prime Minister beneficiary:
- Duplicate recipient name.
- Incomplete KYC
- Farmers in excluded categories
- There is an incorrect IFSC code in your application.
- Closed, invalid, transferred, blocked or frozen bank accounts
- Your Aadhaar card is not linked to your bank account.
- A required field is missing.
- Invalid bank or post office name
- The recipient account number does not match the recipient code and scheme.
- Invalid Account and Aadhar
