Authorities say 15 people were injured when a tram crashed at Universal Studios Hollywood on Saturday night.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said on social media that a crash was reported at the theme park shortly after 9 p.m.
First responders at the scene on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood said they found 15 people with minor injuries in the crash involving the Studio Tour tram. They were all taken to a local hospital and received treatment, officials said.
It was not immediately clear what caused the crash or how many trams were involved, but the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
A Universal Studios Hollywood spokesperson said in a statement: The Hollywood Reporter Saturday night, “The LA County Fire Department has confirmed that a tram accident occurred at the theme park tonight, resulting in multiple minor injuries. We are supporting guests and working to understand the circumstances that led to the accident.”
