Trump is now demanding that Republican candidates and committees that use his name and likeness in fundraising receive at least a 5% cut of the proceeds.
Politico reported:
“Starting tomorrow, we are asking all candidates and committees who choose to use President Trump’s name, image or likeness to give at least 5% of all fundraising requests to the Trump National Committee JFC. This includes, but is not limited to, transferring housing files, finding suppliers, advertising, etc.” Trump joint campaign managers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita wrote in an April 15 letter.
They added, “A split higher than 5% would be viewed favorably by the RNC and President Trump’s campaign and is regularly reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”

The corporate media is dancing around this issue, but let's see what the plan is.
Trump sees the Republican Party as a criminal organization with himself at the top, and like all criminal organizations, the person at the top gets part of the action.
A former president doesn't ask for his own cut to support another candidate. Trump wants the money to go to a joint fundraising deal that he uses to channel most of the money to Super PACs to pay his legal fees.
Donald Trump is trying to get other Republicans to pay his legal fees.
The former president has been trying to come up with a way to make the Republican Party pay for the use of his name and likeness in fundraising for years.
It wouldn't be surprising if Trump tried to sue people who don't pay.
Trump's latest moves are proof that the Republican Party is no longer a political party. It's a gift and Donald Trump wants his action.
