What do you want from your government?
This is a question that speaks to the core of our country. Such words come up a lot during a presidential election year.
Over the next three months, NPR will take a closer look at the issues you signal are most important when choosing a leader with tremendous power to shape issues and outcomes. What NPR listeners and readers constantly have on their minds are often complex questions related to gun violence, the economy, immigration, reproductive rights, health care and U.S. foreign policy.
NPR's specialty is its ability to provide local, national and international perspectives by working with member stations in cities and towns across the political spectrum, large and small. We work hard to present a fair range of perspectives that provide a complete picture. Our hope? Our rigorous, respectful reporting fosters meaningful conversations on our broadcasts, on our sites, on our podcasts, and at dinner tables around the world to help you decide what's right for you, your family, and your community.
