Actress and singer Mehwish Hayat has set social media on fire ever since she played the lead role in an Eid film. Dagabaz Deal Joining forces with famous Bollywood rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh. Not only do you enjoy a rich and diverse career, Ms. Marvel The actor also remains consistently single. In an interview with Suhail Warraich, Mehwish explained why.
“I’ll be very honest with you.” She started. “People are scared of me! Maybe my personality makes people around me feel embarrassed or anxious. I’m not trying to scare anyone, but it’s true that people think before they talk to me, and I think that’s a good thing.”
Building a wall around her to stop her from wasting time, Mehwish went on to explain that if she wanted to pursue a serious romantic relationship with any man, looks would be the furthest thing from her mind. “Handsome looks are not important.” She continued to insist. “Personality is important. He should be kind, cultured and have a sense of humor. “I have a serious personality and need someone to balance it out.”
In a culture that values light skin tone above all else physically, Mehwish says, “Skin color or appearance doesn’t matter. “Your heart and soul must be beautiful.”
Career-oriented Mehwish continued to think that a partner with a sense of romance would not fail. “I am very practical and realistic,” she confessed. “So my better half has to be a little romantic to balance that out and fill that void!”
A busy woman like Mehwish hasn't yet had time to meet her perfect man – kind, cultured, funny and romantic – but she playfully admits that her biggest crush has always been Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio. “Leonardo Di Caprio – If you’re watching and ready to make suggestions, I’m listening!” the actor joked.
But jokes aside, Mehwish explained that for a perfectionist like herself, a lifelong commitment like marriage is not something to be undertaken lightly. “For me, marriage is a very big responsibility,” she said. In keeping with her views on marital bliss prevalent in Pakistani society, Mehwish went on to explain: “Marriage is not just between two people. “It’s between two families.”
Addressing the successful actor who has no intention of pausing his career for anyone at the moment, Mehwish added,[If I got married], if I have anything in mind for my career and ambitions, I'm going to have to think about too many people. “Mentally, I am not at a level where I can give marriage the time it needs.”
Mehwish calls herself a 'perfectionist' and at the same time says she needs to be with a man who can be her equal mentally, financially and emotionally. Mehwish said: Dreams, anyone who encourages me to pursue my goals and who understands the value of hard work in Pakistan can think about it.”
As a successful actor with a thriving career, Mehwish has brought home the fact that she doesn't really need a man at the moment. “I am very independent,” she concluded to the doubters. “And if I get married, something is going to suffer, either my marriage or my career.”
With no future partner in sight yet, the actor can continue to pour his heart and soul into this profession, which doesn't seem to be suffering any time soon.
