House Republicans are furious with the other speaker, so if Marjorie Taylor Greene agrees to leave office, it will probably be the end for Mike Johnson.
Punchbowl News reported:
Johnson is facing fierce criticism from Republicans even before he introduces his promised new Ukraine proposals. There is a problem with FISA reauthorization. With the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden collapsing, Johnson must hold on to the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for a few more days to ensure Senate Democrats don't dismiss it. To say the least, things haven't been great for the House Republicans over the past few months.
We don't pay too much attention to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's (R-Ga.) frequent rants. But Greene's five-page letter on Monday in which she pitched herself as Johnson's replacement should be taken very seriously. If Greene passes the eviction motion she filed last month after Johnson pushed through his FY2024 government funding package, he will likely be ousted.

Mike Johnson now finds himself in the same position that Kevin McCarthy was in when he was kicked to the curb. McCarthy had to decide whether to collapse the American and global economies by causing the country to default on its debt or lose jobs.
Johnson must decide whether Ukraine will fall to Russia or lose his job.
The difference is that if Johnson introduces the Ukraine bill, Democrats could block him from resigning.
But if Democrats rescue Johnson, his speech will be over. He will be seen as the Democratic Party's saver and will have the title of Chairman, but no power.
No matter what Mike Johnson does, he will eventually end his term as Speaker of the House.
