Stephen Colbert pointed out that President Trump seemed surprised because he didn't seem to know what was in his speech.
“We won this state,” Colbert said, playing a video of Trump speaking. We have won many victories in this state. And it turns out we actually won this state.”
The Late Night host responded: “It’s pretty bold to go in when you’re defeated and tell the crowd you actually won. It's like meeting your ex and saying, 'Hi, Amanda.' You look fine. Of course I know because it came out that we were still together. We’re still very much together.’”
Colbert followed up with another Trump clip, “Remember, 10:00.” Everyone is calling me. They are saying, “Congratulations, sir.” And at 3:02 a.m. there was a lot of dumping.”

Trump: “They’ll all leave” Last week Master Lock – I bought Master Locks – closed… “I won’t buy any more.”
“I was shocked there,” said Stephen Colbert. 'And Charles Manson is a great guy, a tremendous musician, but I guess he's a bad guy because he killed a lot of people. Lock him up with a master lock that we don’t use.’”

Not only is Trump now chained to a teleprompter for every speech he gives, but he doesn't seem to see the speech before he reads the words, like a bad actor who stands in front of a crowd and needs cue cards to remember his lines.
Republicans have chosen as their presidential candidate a man who can no longer form his own thoughts off script. Trump was caught. His first day on the campaign trail in weeks was a disaster. That's because his campaign had to hide him again until his criminal trial on April 15.
