Jon Bon Jovi has a revealing new docuseries and a great new album titled “Legendary.”
“Extra” caught up with the superstar at SXSW in Austin, Texas to premiere “Thank You, Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story.” The song chronicles the highs and lows of this iconic band's 40-year journey like never before.
He admitted, “To make a film of this scale, I didn’t want to be pretentious.”
The four-part docuseries also covered Richie Sambora's departure from the band during the tour!
“There are no safeguards in this project,” Bon Jovi emphasized. “Everyone was showing warts and all.”
Jon stressed the importance of being “open and honest about everything,” including his fears about surgery to fix his voice.
Bon Jovi's good friend Bruce Springsteen was there for him after his surgery. he is “[Bruce] He was like a big brother throughout the vocal surgery process. It was therapeutic because it was one of those really comforting voices that said, ‘We’ve got your back, you’ll get through this.’”
Jon also dished about his three children's upcoming weddings!
“We are excited for all the kids,” he said.
As for the wedding toast, he added that he hasn't written it yet and will do as instructed.
