The team behind the wildly popular and failed Willy Wonka experience has some work to do. Billy McFarland — someone very familiar with the situation — wants to give you a chance to make things right.
We had to speak to the founder of New York's Fyre festival and ask him about Britain's Wonka disaster that captured the world's attention. And immediately reminded people of Billy's own failed festival.

Remember, Billy had a similarly legendary bad experience in the Bahamas in 2017 in the form of a music festival for high-paying fans. The set-up was poor and Billy later pleaded guilty to defrauding investors. that He served in prison for about four years..
McFarland said he wanted to give the Wonka guys a chance to do everything right in Fyre 2. Although there are some guardrails in place to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Billy clearly has a second Fyre Festival in mind. It's scheduled for next year, but his partners will announce a date when they're ready. Now he's taking on more of a marketing role and trying not to do too much.
And it looks like Fyre tickets are selling fast. Billy revealed on Thursday that applications for Fyre II pre-sale have been accepted from around the world. Tickets worth $110 million.
