Adele revealed that she had to postpone her Las Vegas residency several times due to an illness that took a toll on her voice.
The Grammy Award-winning singer took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news: “Sadly, I have to take a short break from my Vegas residency.” “Her body was sore all through the break after the last leg,” she said. She said: “I didn't get the chance to get back to full health before the show resumed and now I'm sick again and unfortunately all of this has taken a toll on my voice. So she has no choice but to follow the doctor’s instructions and rest well.”
Affected shows include all of her dates throughout March. “The remaining five weekends on this stretch will be postponed to a later date,” she added. “We are already working on the details and will send you the information as soon as possible.”
Adele also wrote in the post, “I love you. I miss you like crazy and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.”
Last October, the “Easy on Me” singer announced that she was extending her weekend-long Adele residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from January to June 2024.
The residency was originally scheduled to begin in January 2022, but the start was postponed due to production delays and team members' COVID-19 quarantine. Her residency eventually began in November 2022 and ran until March 2023, with Adele unveiling another leg that ran from June to November 2023. She then added 32 new dates for 2024.
