When it comes to Joe Biden, MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell is a true believer.
During a recent monologue on his show, he berated a bewildered liberal audience about Biden's age and declining mental capacity, insisting that Biden was doing amazing things and that no one cared about the speeches, only what went on behind closed doors.
This type of thinking can be described as whistling through a graveyard.

Lawrence O'Donnell scolds wayward Democrats for questioning Biden's health
MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell used his platform The Last Word Wednesday night to chide Democrats for being timid and saying President Joe Biden's inability to deliver speeches and write coherent sentences is part of his job as president. I went on a rant about the fact that it wasn't the case. He said, “The idea that Joe Biden is too old is based on a complete and utter misunderstanding of the work of the presidency. “Work is about making decisions, not talking,” he argued.
O'Donnell argued that “speeches” are the only part of the presidency that America can witness through the news media. So the American public can't judge Biden because they can't see what a fantastic job he's doing “behind closed doors.”
The host compared the presidency to the Super Bowl, saying, “I can remember what Patrick Mahomes did on the field, but I can’t remember a single word of his speech. And there’s a good reason for that because it’s on the ground.”…
“Anyone who sees Joe Biden doing his job in secret believes he can do it,” O’Donnell said in his defense. He said this “appears to include former Republican Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, who I always thought was the president.” “Biden was competent enough when we negotiated with him last year.”

You have to admire O'Donnell's dedication. He's definitely willing to go down with the ship.
