Sister Pumpkin is worried that Alana will become pregnant before graduating from college.
In the February 16 episode of the hit TLC series, Alana graduates high school.
The family is all very proud of her, but her younger sister Pumpkin is against the hope that Alana will choose not only to go to college, but to go to a school out of state.

“I really want what’s best for Alana,” Pumpkin says in a confessional.
“It would be so much better for her to get up here and explore a new life in a new state than to stay here and be a teenage mom. I did that, my mom did that, Anna did that.”
Through tears, she added: “It’s just a family thing. well. Just get out of here.”
Now that the show filmed a while ago, fans know that she attended school on a $21,000 scholarship to study nursing.
And no, she is not pregnant. The fact is that she has to defend herself from body-shaming trolls time and time again.

In real life, there are very simple social rules. In almost all situations, you will not be asked whether you are pregnant unless you are a medical professional. Other than that, it doesn't. Celebrate Pretend to be someone or something else until your baby's head explodes.
Suffice it to say that this part of the social contract works twofold. literal reality Teens. For example, let's take a 17-year-old high school student who was going to prom.
Yes, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is famous. That doesn't mean she likes people degrading her own body. And honestly, this preggo speculation is worse than just plain body shaming.
Alana saw the cruel things people wrote and asked if she had a “baby bump” under her prom dress.
Alana on pregnancy rumors: “I want to go to college”
So she took to TikTok Live not only to quell these rumors but also to slam the trolls who write them.
“No, I’m not pregnant!” Alana confirmed.
“I haven’t even graduated from high school yet, okay?” Then Alana reminded me of these creepy weirdos.
“I want to graduate,” she emphasized.
“I want to go to college before I even think about having kids,” Alana assured. “That’s right. I’m not pregnant…”
It's very reassuring to hear that Alana won't be following in the footsteps of her mother, sisters, or any of her sisters.
(We can also acknowledge that in some cases, becoming a teen mother wasn't entirely their choice. This family lived in unimaginable poverty for years.)
But it's not like someone simply claimed Alana was pregnant. Smells particularly rotten The tabloids spread it as news. Instead, commenters improvised it. Because everyone saw Alana in a gorgeous prom dress.
Do you think we (and Alana) are fabricating hate? Think again.
‘Fan’s’ body shaming comment
“That's right. Not a show-stopping dress… For a second I thought I was pregnant! “There are many other dresses that can be more flattering, you just have to wear them to fit your body shape,” one wicked comment reads.
“I thought it was a gender reveal.” another scathing Instagram reply scoffed. Horrible, Horrible Stuff — and they all posted it where Alana could see it.
Alana shared her frustration and quelled these body-shaming claims on TikTok.
Alana seems to be doing the celebrity thing of not being able to tell the difference between hateful trolls and people making a solid point, so I clap back and ignore her.
It's actually pretty understandable. Not only because of her background (which it is), but also because she's still a teenager.
