Apple owns hundreds of website domains, but has now added “iWork.ai,” which could indicate that it plans to highlight AI features in its application suite.
Apple tends to refer to the Pages, Numbers, and Keynote applications by their individual names, but sometimes refers to them collectively as iWork. This comes from when Apple sold the three as a box set with the iLife collection, which included iMovie, GarageBand, and more.
The last bundled version of the app suite was in 2009 when Apple released iWork'09 and launched iwork.com. The latter was an attempt to add collaboration to the app, but the site is no longer active.
The same goes for iWork.ai, BuyAIdomains.comApple has now purchased the domain.
BuyAIdomains.com While the claim that Apple acquired the domain seems correct, the site goes too far in assuming that this is 'groundbreaking' and a 'bold move'. [a] Relaunch iWork to compete with MS Office and Google Docs.”
Apple may simply purchase the domain to prevent another company from taking it. You may buy it because it is often misspelled. This is why “zpple.com” leads to apple.com.
Until 2011, the following site existed. domain gang We counted 543 website domains owned by Apple. In the years since, there may be hundreds more, and the important thing is that owning a domain name doesn't mean you have to have a website on it.
So it's possible that iWork.ai is actually a sign that Apple is planning a major relaunch of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. But if it does, it will likely acquire the Pages.ai, Numbers.ai, Keynote.ai and possibly iCloud.ai domains.
Because of the way the site is registered, it is often impossible to determine with certainty which company owns the domain. Especially since Apple can use brokerage firms. Currently, iCloud.ai and Keynote.ai are registered with a California-based company, Pages.ai is registered with a company based in Rockford, Illinois, and Numbers.ai is registered with a company based in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Moreover, Numbers.ai is listed as available for sale, which makes it somewhat unlikely that Apple will do so.
Most reports claiming that Apple will adopt AI in a big way at WWDC 2024 expect the company to adopt AI through its operating systems, especially iOS, rather than through specific apps. However, the OS's improved AI capabilities will potentially enhance the functionality of all apps.
