Of course, it's a good idea to prepare only the essentials. But ultimately the festival funny. Here's a list of festive accessories you'll want to have on hand purely for fun.
Kandi Creation Kit: Beaded bracelet deals are a hallmark of electronic music, but thanks to the Taylor Swift Eras tour, more music genres are joining in. Any beads will work, but I highly recommend Stretch Magic elastic ($20). Cheap items break down too easily. .
Flow props: There are many toys that some dancers like to use. I prefer the Fiberflies Pixel Whip ($85), but the Flowtoys PodPoi ($135) is also a popular choice. You can also get a wand that floats in the air and a wand that lights up. These are super fun to dance to (and will keep your fellow attendees entertained).
Instant Camera: Most of us have a fully functioning camera in our pocket. But I like to take my Instax with me when I go to festivals. You'll gain physical, tangible memories, and it can be fun to ask strangers' permission to take pictures.
Small gift: Little duck. Bean sprouts for hair. A squishy animal. Festivals often involve a culture of gift giving. You can't predict it, but it might be nice to have something to share with people you meet. Consider taking some trinkets with you. You might even make a new friend or two.
Night light: If you're attending a camping festival, wandering around in the dark can be dangerous. Sometimes you just want to grab a snack from the cooler without turning on the flashlight. The reason I like this night light is because it provides a soft glow. Bright enough to be visible, but not so bright that it wakes anyone nearby.
Camping Towel: Sometimes it rains outside. Sometimes you may accidentally spill the entire Beatbox into your tent. In any case, camping towels come in handy. It is highly absorbent and dries quickly.
Interesting Clothes: When it comes to festival outfits, you can be as bold or as practical as you like. Don't sacrifice comfort in the name of fashion! But if you're looking for fun clothes to wear, check out IHeartRaves and Rave Wonderland. It's EDM-adjacent, but it works for everything from Bonnaroo to Burning Man to EDC. Merchandise from your favorite artists can also be a good starting point. When in doubt, you can always wear accessories. Try a bucket hat or pashmina-style shawl for a more adventurous look.
Big scarf: We have a lot of feelings about the importance of small utility fabrics. Music festivals are often dusty and dirty. A bandana serves as a face covering, sweat absorber, a quick place to sit, and an easy way to clean up spilled drinks. Keeping a few in your bag will help you be better prepared.
