As previously mentioned, the weather in April varies depending on your location, but temperatures are generally expected to be warmer, making it a great time for outdoor activities, weekend getaways, and sightseeing.
However, there is one negative thing to watch out for: your budget! April is a month with many important events, including Passover and spring break. many Americans travel during this time. This will increase demand for flights and hotels, as well as crowds, so it's best to plan ahead and choose more off-the-beaten-path destinations. (Cough, cough – avoid all-inclusive resorts and theme parks.)

Washington DC
It's a beautiful April in Washington, DC, with mild temperatures and plenty of sunshine. The city is famous for the cherry blossom trees that line the mudflats, creating a picturesque landscape that attracts many travelers.
Cherry blossom season generally begins in late March and lasts until April, with blooms usually occurring in mid to late April. The National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place this month, featuring a parade, live music and cultural performances.
Apart from this, Washington DC has many other attractions to offer to visitors in April. The city is home to numerous free museums, galleries, and historical attractions, making it a great destination for history buffs and culture buffs alike. New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans, Louisiana is another destination that comes alive in April with its famous music festivals and lively atmosphere.
One of the city's biggest events during this time is the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, also known as Jazz Fest. This annual music festival takes place over two weekends and features a variety of musicians from a variety of genres, including jazz, blues, R&B, rock, and more.
There's also the French Quarter Festival, a free music festival held in the historic French Quarter. The festival features over 20 stages and showcases the best of New Orleans music, food and culture.

As with Washington DC, one of the most popular attractions during this time is the cherry blossoms along Newbury Street or Bay Street. Take a walk through the area, enjoy the fresh spring air and admire the colorful flowers.
Besides the cherry blossoms, there are many other attractions to explore in Boston in April. One of the most popular activities is a stroll along the 2.5-mile Freedom Trail, which visits some of the city's most historic sites, including the Massachusetts State House, Old North Church, and the USS Constitution Museum.

The Grand Canyon is a truly awe-inspiring travel destination that should be on everyone's bucket list. Whether you are a nature lover, history buff, or just looking for a great adventure, the Grand Canyon will provide you with memories that will last a lifetime.
The park is home to a variety of animals, from mountain lions and coyotes to elk and bighorn sheep. I really enjoyed my time in Naples and the food options were great. Head to the Naples Pier for a peaceful day at the beach, visit the Naples Botanical Gardens, or take a day trip to nearby Marco Island for a boat tour, kayaking, or dolphin watching.

April is a beautiful time to explore the region and taste some of the world's best wines, as the vines come back to life after winter. From wine and food pairings to barrel tastings, the opportunities to enjoy local wines are endless. Take a guided tour through the vineyards and learn firsthand about the winemaking process.

Spain
There are so many beautiful places to visit in Spain, and Barcelona is one of my favorites. But if you want warmer weather, consider traveling as south as possible!
Seville and Granada in Andalusia are two fantastic options for a sunny Spanish holiday. Heading further north, this can be a great time to trek the Camino de Santiago. The duration varies depending on the number of days remaining. Make sure you train in advance and pack a poncho for this extensive walking pilgrimage.
