According to an affidavit obtained by the outlet, Jones' son told authorities that his mother hit him, bit him and doused him with bleach after telling him she wanted to live with his father, who shares custody with Jones.
According to the documents, the boy said he went to take a bath to remove the bleach on himself. According to the affidavit, the boy's mother followed her son into the bathroom and she “jumped into her bathtub with him, grabbed his face, and pushed him under the water for approximately 45 seconds.”
To get his mother to stop, the boy told investigators he stood still and “played dead,” as stated in court documents.
Jones allegedly locked his son in a closet for three hours.

It has not been determined when the attempted drowning occurred, but court documents indicate the abuse occurred more than a week before Jones was arrested last Tuesday, citing multiple instances between April 15 and April 21.
According to the affidavit, the boy claimed the “abrasions” and “bruises” on his body were caused by his mother's abuse and called his father on Sunday, April 21, asking him to come pick him up. Before the father spoke about his mother's alleged abuse, as stated in court documents, he told authorities that his son seemed “distressed.”
The father reported Jones to the authorities, and police picked up the mother the next day.
As stated in the affidavit, Jones denied the allegations. She was booked Tuesday and her records show she was released on $50,000 bail per person.
Jones' court appearance is scheduled for May 20.
